Ten NLL Players to Watch in Week Three

1.  Cliff Smith (Stealth)   Another 7 point game, can he continue his hot streak, and lead the Washington Stealth to another victory?

2.  Curtis Knight/Mark Matthews (Edm)  Fantastic first game, just fell short against Toronto, can they hand the Stealth their first loss? Both rookies playing in their second game.

3.  Levis/Roik (Col)   Can they get on track vs Calgary?   Goaltending has been a HUGE question since pre-season.

4.  Anthony Cosmo (Buf)   Can cooler heads prevail?  Or will the Hawks fly through his crease and his head? He struggled a bit in both of his first games last week.

5.  Wings Defense. Can the young Wings D hold the fort against a talented Rock offense?

6.  Aaron Bold (Edm)   Stellar game vs Toronto, Can he have another and give the Rush their first win and Washington their first loss?

7. Drew Westervelt.  Held scoreless in game one, Can Westervelt crack the net this week against a stingy Nick Rose?

8.  Buchanan, Crowley, Farrell, etc..  Can they break through the Rock defense and win there third straight in Toronto? Philly’s offense did look good last week, but it has to be wondered if it was a one game wonder.

9. Knighthawks.  Home opener, Raising of the Champions banner..  Can the Hawks put the pre-game celebration behind them and defeat the Bandits?

10.  Calgary offense.   How many goals will they put past Mammoth net-minders before they call off the dogs.

Other Things to look for this weekend: Colorado…If they do not solve their goaltending SOON, it will be a very long season for the Mammoth and their fans.

Buffalo….2 games, both times revolving goaltenders…Cosmo must keep cool…players know dive through crease and his mind is messed up. Knighthawks Signed Angus Goodleaf, giving them a good 1-2 combination between the pipes.

Wings v Rock… these two teams have won 12 of the 26 titles in the leagues history so far (6 each)…. Classic battle…. Can the American field team defeat there division rivals from Canada? Stealth return home 2-0.  4 total wins last season…Can they fly their way to 3-0?
