The Wildcats will travel to Baltimore this evening to take on Johns Hopkins for the seventh time since 1997. Hopkins is ranked seventh in this week’s poll, while Villanova did not make the chart. Villanova is coming off of a fresh OT loss against St. Johns, and they are looking for a win to increase their overall morale. Villanova’s standout freshman Goalkeeper, Dan Willis, has made and impressive 113 saves on the season. ’Nova is also holding onto a strong offense, led by Senior Kevin O’Neil, who has 24 goals and nine assists. The Wildcats are looking fierce heading into tonight’s game, and it will be interesting to see how they perform.
As for Hopkins, their talented offense is led by Wells Stanwick, who claimed 14 goals and 37 assists so far this season. Their whole offense is sturdy, and they are able to distribute the ball across the different offensive lines, as 24 different players have put points on the board this season. Hopkins had to fill some big shoes left by their seniors last season, but the players that stepped up have really been getting the job done. They have increased their scoring abilities significantly since last season, and are hoping for a big win tonight against Villanova.
Each team’s brings a strong offense to tonight’s match, and it’s going to be a great match featuring two talented teams.
