Bandits Sign Stewart, Knighthawks Release Van Every

As training camp rosters continue to be trimmed, both the Buffalo Bandits and Rochester Knighthawks have made moves early in this week.

The Bandits re-signed right handed shooter Luke Wiles and placed him on the active roster from the protected player list, while also signing transition man Scott Stewart.

Stewart had been with the Edmonton Rush but last season played in Denver with the Colorado Mammoth. He was released after some training camp sessions. With Buffalo losing Jeremy Thompson via trade, he could be a good option to make the roster.

Meanwhile, the Rochester Knighthawks released two goaltenders, Ben Van Every and Mike Matteo. Matteo and Van Every both did not suit up for the pre season game this weekend against Minnesota.

Still on the roster for camp is Ian Duffy, Matt Vinc and Jake Henhawk. Vinc is a lock as one of the best goalies in the league, and Henhawk is the only other goalie who saw pre season time. They play Toronto this weekend.
