After the Buffalo Bandits made an offer to restricted free agent Pat Saunders earlier in the week, but it appears he will not be going anywhere.

After matching the Bandits offer, the New England Black Wolves will retain forward Pat Saunders on a two year deal.

Saunders, who spent time with Philadelphia, broke out last season with New England. The former sixth round pick from Chicago scored 68 points which was his career high. He scored 39 in his season before.

Saunders also picked up a career high 64 loose balls and 222 shots.

The Black Wolves had 72 hours to match the offer the Bandits made, which they did within the day.

New England has also signed their biggest unrestricted free agent, defenseman Brett Manney. They’ve been one of the most active teams this off season retaining their players.
