Cannons Look for Third Win; Match Up With Machine

Tomorrow night, the Boston Cannons will travel to Ohio to take on the Machine in a duel of 2-3 squads. The Cannons, led by the offense of Kevin Buchanan and Paul Rabil, have struggled thus far to find their rhythm, while the Machine has also been faced with inconsistencies in their first five games.

The Machine are coming off of their first win since opening day; a 15-11 defeat over the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Interestingly enough, these two teams have both defeated the same two teams. The Cannons opened their season with a win against the Bayhawks, and both teams routed the Hounds. This will be a battle between two teams that are nearly identical in both their record and team morale.

For Boston, their record does not reflect the talent that makes up their squad. In 2013, they faced similar struggles, but will need to resolve these issues soon if they hope to be a competitor once playoffs arrive.

The winner of this game could also take a major jump in the MLL standings, as there are currently three teams ahead of them with a 3-2 record. If one or more of them loses, either the Cannons or Machine could be tied for second place in Major League Lacrosse.

Game time is at 8:00 pm at Selby Stadium.
