ELL Playoff Preview: Wolves

The Wolves have had their ups and downs all season in the European Lacrosse League and this week in the semi finals they face the most diverse team, Pietro Filipi.Pietro Filipi, like the Custodes, added several new players last week to make them stronger. However, the Wolves have also altered their roster throughout the season and have improved drastically. Jiri Loskot and Jiri Kostal who are 3-4 in the league in scoring with 31 and 30 points, respectively.

Most of the Wolves roster is Czech except for a few Germans and one Swedish and one American player. Brandon Muise is on the Wolves roster as a forward, and he has played at the professional level in America.

Goaltender Jakub Mares has been one of the best in the league with a 72% save percentage. Their backup ‘tender, Theodor Samalik, on the other hand, has struggled with a GAA under 70%.

The Wolves lack some big stars that Pierto Filipi hosts, but they won the regular season with the most points in the league. This team is consistent, has terrific chemistry and has meshed very well.
