CLax: Stars Play First Game Against Turf Dogs

Ironmen and Demons Announce Rosters

All seven teams have now released rosters for the 2013 Canadian Lacrosse League (CLax) season. The deadline for rosters to be submitted to the league was Tuesday at 11pm Eastern. At that time, five team rosters were made public: Barrie Blizzard, Brampton Inferno, Durham Turfdogs, Niagara Lock Monsters and Toronto Shooting Stars. Inferno Defeat Stars in Pre Season

With the Clax Season beginning next weekend the Brampton Inferno took on the Toronto Shooting Stars in pre-season action at the Stephen Leacock Arena in Scarborough. Brampton’s current line-up showed early jitters in this game as they had only practiced together twice and got into some early penalty trouble. In Canadian Lacrosse League pre season action yesterday afternoon, we saw wins come from the Barrie Blizzard, Ohsweken Demons and Iroquois Ironmen. The first win came when the Blizzard downed the Durham Turf Dogs by a score of 19-11. Mike Vertolli led the Blizzard with three goals while Mike Teeter had two.
