NALL: Bombers Cease Operations

March 9, 2013

Yesterday the lacrosse world was sad to learn the Baltimore Bombers will not participate in the North American Lacrosse League season from here on out and will not participate in the championship. As of right now, there will still be a Boston vs Kentucky championship. Below is the statement from the Bombers organization. The Baltimore Bombers remain a great opportunity but the economics didn’t work. Should an opportunity arise in…

Talbot: Rockhoppers Face Kingfish at Home

March 8, 2013

The games that team plays of the road are often different from the ones you play at home. The game plan is usually simplified and, as the away team, you don’t feel the need or the emotional connection to give a good show to your fans. When we travel to Kentucky, our biggest enemy is the fatigue we accumulate from flying and driving. I’m sure teams from Rhode Island and…

NALL: Rockhoppers Take on Kingfish

March 8, 2013

Let’s take a minute to forget that Baltimore vs Kentucky was cancelled and all of the issues we have heard about and talk about the lacrosse on the field, shall we? Tomorrow night the Boston Rockhoppers return home to play their New England rival Rhode Island Kingfish. Rhode Island, who sits at 0-3, have added two new offensive players in James Synowiez and Justin Otto from Baltimore to shore up…

The Midwest Indoor Lacrosse Association (MILA) has officially announced this week that it is changing the name of the league to the Continental Indoor Lacrosse League (CILL), effective immediately. Rockhoppers Get Sixth Win As They Topple Stickhorses

March 3, 2013

This game was a tale of two teams going in different directions on the floor as the Boston Rockhoppers moved to 6-1 on the season while Kentucky fell to a 2-5 record. Boston picked up a 16-13 victory where they just played their game as they have all season, and that’s a game of smart shots, and not many penalties. Boston was led by Vince Talbot in net yet again…

NALL: Stickhorses Battle With Rockhoppers

March 2, 2013

The Kentucky Stickhorses face their rival Boston Rockhoppers for the third and final time this season. Boston has defeated Kentucky in both of their matchups this season. This is Boston’s second trip to Louisville. Kentucky suffered a two goal loss to the Baltimore Bombers last week where they struggled to score and stay out of the box. Meanwhile, Boston’s last game was also in Baltimore in a blowout victory over…

Bombers Win Vital Matchup With Kentucky 12-10

February 25, 2013

The Kentucky Stickhorses need to win their next two games and hope Baltimore falls to Boston in a few weeks. That’s the only way they can make the playoffs now as they suffered a potentially backbreaking loss at the hands of the Bombers. Kentucky and Baltimore were tied after one and Spencer Lyons played pretty well in net, however he allowed a run late by Baltimore that eventually was the…

NALL: Bombers Face Stickhorses for Playoff Implications

February 23, 2013

The NALL is a little bit different than it was early this week. Now each team has nine games instead of ten and the playoff picture is different. Boston is in, leaving one spot left, which will be Kentucky or Baltimore. Kentucky will not be traveling to Boston again this season. They host Boston next week, but it’s the games against Baltimore that are vital. If they win tomorrow then…

Talbot Blog: Rockhoppers Keep Rolling

February 19, 2013

I like playing at the Du Burns arena in Baltimore. Even though it has a lot of weird little annoying things like the blinding windows and the awful locker room layout, it also has a lot going for it. The turf is one of the best in the league, the fans show up to games and seem to know about lacrosse and, most importantly, we are 2-0 in the building…

Rockhoppers Dominant Again With 18-9 Win

February 18, 2013

The Baltimore Bombers are currently a .500 team now at 3-3 on the season and two games back of the now 5-1 Boston Rockhoppers, who defeated Baltimore 18-9 on Sunday afternoon. Boston was led by a seven goal performance from Mike Stone and another performance in net from Vincent Talbot that held an opponent under ten goals. Baltimore meanwhile struggled in every area of the game in what looked like…
