PLL Going to Try to Start Season

September 8, 2012

According to multiple sources, Graham D’Alvia is now the commissioner of the Professional Lacrosse League. (Has there ever been more news about a league to never play a game, by the way?) However, the New Jersey Rascals will not continue. The league had an 11am meeting today where they voted D’Alvia as the leader of the league. Later, they announced that instead of the Reading Rockets vs New Jersey game,…

Unification Key To Pro Lacrosse

September 8, 2012

This has been a real crazy year for professional lacrosse, especially when it comes to “growth”. It appears that suddenly everyone wants to make greater efforts to spread the sport, and their method seems to be by starting new leagues. In the past year we have seen the introductions of the NALL, CLax, PLL, MILA, and now the new Prospects Lacrosse League. Its too early to say much about the…

Reaction: Rascals Go Dormant, PLL Future in Doubt

September 7, 2012

Yesterday we learned the New Jersey Rascals have decided not to play in the Professional Lacrosse League in 2012, their season set to start in just a week. The PLL’s questionable history has long been discussed, but yesterday, we took to Twitter to find the fan reaction from others who followed the league. @lacrossewetrust I suspect the bigger issue is leadership, and not number of teams. At least that’s my…

Ingemi: A Word About Professional Lacrosse

September 6, 2012

PLL: All Quiet On The Western Front

September 5, 2012

We are nine days away from the PLL season, but things seem rather quiet. To some, a tad too quiet. None of the teams rosters have been announced yet. We assume that Charlotte and Jacksonville have groups together since they’ve had a great deal of time, but its a very different story for the league’s two newest franchises. New Jersey has managed to sign six players to their roster (one…

Meanwhile, the game between Southern Ohio Box Lacrosse and the Grand Rapids Dragonfish was already postponed before the week began. However, two more games ended up being postponed…
