After the draft we went one on one with Edmonton Rush second round pick Riley Loewen.Question: Thoughts on joining the Rush?
A. I am really excited to join the Rush. I didn’t really have a clue on where is was going to go and I was really happy when the Rush chose me. I have played with a bunch of guys on the team which is nice.
Q: Thoughts on the Rush organization?
A. I think the Rush are a great organization that is young and is only going to get better. There last couple seasons have been pretty positive and I am honored to be a part of it.
Q: How do you feel getting drafted?
A. Getting drafted into the NLL has been a big dream of mine since I was a young kid when I would to go to Vancouver Ravens games. To hear my name called was a dream come true.
Q: What do you bring to the Rush?
A. I bring speed and athleticism on the offensive end of the floor. I get in front of the net for a scoring chance by cutting hard through the middle and setting picks. I like playing off ball and on ball and get my teammates open as well as myself open. I am not afraid to run back on defense to shut down the other teams fast break.
