MLL Power Rankings: Cannons Rising

Denver Outlaws

The Outlaws are 8-0 and it looks like they won’t be losing any time soon. They dismantled the hapless Ohio Machine this week and are solid in every area of the game. No one even comes close to them right now.

Hamilton Nationals

The Nationals have been the surprise of the season in MLL with a 6-2 record and in second place in Major League Lacrosse. They have seen players like Brett Queener and Kevin Cunningham come up big in past weeks.

Charlotte Hounds

Charlotte defeated Chesapeake last week to tie them in the standings at 4-4. The Hounds had a rough start to the season and seem to be finding a rhythm in their playoff positioning.

Chesapeake Bayhawks

Chesapeake has fallen. After a 3-0 start they are now 1-3 in their last four games and are 4-4 on the season, tied with the Hounds. They need to break out of it, two teams are on their heals.

Boston Cannons

Since bringing on John Tucker, the Cannons are 2-0 and thriving. They won last week against the New York Lizards and this week they face the struggling Ohio Machine for a chance to really get back in the race.

New York Lizards

The Lizards are arguably the biggest disappointment in Major League Lacrosse this season. Mark Matthews hasn’t produced as hoped, Stephen Berger has struggled, and all in all they are 3-5 and tied with the Cannons who started out 1-5.

Rochester Rattlers

The Rattlers are a team who play very well against struggling teams like Boston and Ohio, but can get destroyed by top teams like Hamilton, as we saw last week.

Ohio Machine

Ohio is 1-7, and were destroyed last week 19-5 against Denver. They face a hungry Boston team this week and try to avoid starting out 1-8.
