MLL Roster Evaluation: Outlaws Return Strong

The Denver Outlaws had their best season ever in 2013 with an outstanding record of 14-0, the first ever undefeated team in MLL history.  They set 21 team records and 10 MLL records last season.  The team had 226 GF, and 136 GA during the regular season.  Their leading scorers were Chris Bocklet #10, Attack with 42 goals, a .429 scoring percentage; Drew Snider #23, Midfield with 31 goals, a .344 percentage; and Jeremy Sieverts #20, Midfield with 27 goals, a .318 percentage.

So how do the Outlaws rate for 2014?  Their roster is even more impressive this year with the additions of John Grant, Jr., Attack; newcomer Nick Molnar, Midfield who was picked up in the player pool and will suit up for his first game ever as an Outlaw this Saturday against the Launch; and key returning veterans, Terry Kimener, Midfield; Lee Zink, Defense; Matt Bocklet, Defense; Eric Law, Attack; and Jesse Schwartzman, Goalie.

The Outlaws, just like many other MLL teams still have players whose teams made it to the NLL playoffs.  During that time, Denver has plenty of talent on this strong roster to fill in the gaps at those positions.  Do I think this will affect them until those players return?  Absolutely not, considering the returning veteran players; and the new players acquired by the Outlaws which shows not only their desire, but their determination to again be a major contender during the 2014 MLL season.

Denver kicks off their season this Saturday April 26th down in Florida against the Launch.  All eyes will be on the Outlaws to see if they can repeat their phenomenal 2013 season.
