The Boston Rockhoppers face the Baltimore Bombers in a rematch of the Bombers season opener this Sunday at 3pm. Both teams are coming off of week three wins, and a loss for Baltimore would send them behind Boston in the standings.
Last weekend Boston picked up their second win of the year over Kentucky, led by six goals from Ryan Hotaling and a big game from Vincent Talbot in net. However, Nick Schroeder will be back in the fold on Sunday.
For Baltimore, they defeated the Rhode Island Kingfish at home in a hard fought 12-8 win where they scored the last five goals of the contest. Leading the way for Baltimore has been their goalie Ginny Cappichioni along with scorers Andrew Wasik and Ben Rubeor.
Boston has a tough transition game and could barely penetrate Baltimore back in week two. Now Baltimore has stud defenders Shaun Nadelin and Dan Cocchi back in action which will make for a tougher time for them.
Boston fell to Baltimore in overtime in week two by a score of 17-16. Boston scored 16 goals again against Kentucky and have proven to have a strong offense, however, with Baltimore’s defense stronger, this game might be a little bit more low scoring.
This is a big game in the NALL standings as one win could propel Boston into first place, while a loss would put them behind the eight hole with Baltimore for the rest of the season. Game time is at 3pm on Sunday.
