NALL: Stickhorses Look to Rebound Against Baltimore

The Kentucky Stickhorses fell to the Baltimore Bombers 17-13 on Friday night, and this afternoon they get another crack at the Bombers at home.

The Stickhorses were happy with the performances of new faces Chazz Woodson and Jesse Guerin last game who combined for six points. They also had to be happy with the 40+ saves from goaltender Patrick Crosby.

However, Baltimore saw terrific performances of their own from Andrew Wasik, Dan Deckelbaum, Jeff Joy and goaltender Ginny Capicchioni.

The key for Kentucky, as it has been all season, is offense. Baltimore allows those open shooting lanes at time and they need Guerin and Travis Bland to take advantage of those. They also need to see their transition men such as Eric O’Brien and Ryan Macaiszek step up, as that area has struggled as well.

Baltimore needs to continue to penetrate the Kentucky defense who allowed seventy shots on Friday night. They are without several of their best scorers, but Andrew Wasik has emerged as an offensive leader for the team, and they have him.

Dan Deckelbaum scored twice last game and he is a player to watch this afternoon. Without a lot of their stars, Deckelbaum has a chance to be one of their best offensive weapons.

Gametime is at 1pm in Kentucky at Freedom Hall.
