NCAAW: PSU, UNC and SU Games to Watch

Penn State @ Vanderbilt

Penn State will open its final season of ALC play this weekend (March 15) in Tennessee. They are coming off of a very close win over Rutgers where junior midfielder Kelly Lechner took charge and scored five goals. Vanderbilt will have had a 10-day span without games and are coming off a loss against Denver. Penn State will have had time to regroup and practice, so this will definitely be a good game.

Georgetown @ UNC

North Carolina is ranked #1 and Georgetown is known for putting up a great fight against every opponent. This is sure to be a competitive match as Georgetown (even though they lost their last match) took Stanford all the way for two overtimes. Earlier this season, Georgetown was also predicted to be the #1 team in the Big East, so it will be exciting to see which of the two teams face off for a win.

Florida @ Syracuse

Syracuse just had their first major setback of their previously undefeated season against Maryland, so you can be sure they are going to come back with an edge. They put up a fight on Monday night and this game against Florida this weekend will truly prove if they are the type of team that bounces back after a rough loss. Florida had a great game against Winthrop on Wednesday, and even though they are ranked two spots below Syracuse, there is certainly a possibility of success against this team, it could be anyone’s day.
