Niagara Acquires Brad Favero

St. Catharines, Ont. – Niagara’s Pro Lacrosse team made their first trade today acquiring two players from the Brampton Inferno. St Catharines resident Brad Favero and Brock University Student-Athlete Dustin Dunn come to Niagara for Ryan Campbell and Jordan Coffey.

“Brad is a high quality individual and a great player” said Niagara General Manager/Coach Jeff Dowling.

“He was tied for the league in goals scored and was tied for first on his team for points last season in Clax. We know that we are getting a player with skill and character.”
Favero played his minor in St Catharines before being acquired by the Burlington Chiefs JR A team. Brad played 3 years with Burlington before returning home to play for the Spartan JR B squad in his last year of Junior Lacrosse.

Favero won a SR B Presidents Cup in 2006 with the Wellington Aces and has been a leader on the St. Catharines Saints SR B Squad the last two seasons.

Dunn played his minor and JR A lacrosse in Peterborough, winning a Minto Cup in 2006. Dunn played Major last season in Nanaimo. With the Brock Badgers, Dunn has been a steady performer currently sitting 4thon the first place team in points and goals.

“Dustin is a very athletic player.” said Niagara co-coach Jeremy Tallevi. “When we (Western) play Brock, he is one of the guys we talk about before the game. I’ll be happy when the Clax season starts and I can have Dustin playing for me instead of against me.”
