NJCAA Report: Onondaga Breaks Record

Onondaga broke the all time NJCAA record of 97 straight wins and after yesterday victory over Herkimer are now up to 99 which dates back to 2010 when the streak first started. It was a 33-0 victory over Mohawk Valley that got OCC that 98th win and was 27-5 victory over Herkimer. Onondaga continues to have one of the best offenses in the country but its defense is one of the best ever. Top defenders Oakley Thomas and Tyson Bell are always impressive while Canadian Holden McDonald has been impressive in net so far in his freshman season. Look for OCC to make it 100 straight when they take on Monroe Community College Saturday.

Nassau also kept its season undefeated streak a live when they took down Union 28-1. Their three Sophomore Josh Bryne leads the country with 84 points while  Brandon Watson  is second on the team with 48 points. Chris Martinez continues is strong sophomore year with 31 points of his own. Nassau will take on Army Prep while they wait to see of they will take on either Suffolk or ASA in the region championship game.

Essex has beat everyone but Onondaga and Nassau this season they also put up a bigger fight then most teams had vs. those teams. Freshman Cole Rainier has 43 points while Will Manganiello had 33. Sophomore Nick Mazza has 37 points while red shirt freshman goalie Max Edelmann has 88 saves so far this year. Essex will take on Howard to finish off the regular season.
