NLL: Mac Allen Suspended One Game

The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week 8 of the 2014 NLL regular season for games played on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15. Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Mac Allen has been assessed a Match Penalty and suspended one game stemming from a boarding incident on Toronto Rock player Garrett Billings at approximately the 13:06 mark of the third quarter of their game on February 15. No penalty was called on the field, but upon league review of the incident, Allen has been assessed a Match Penalty for violation of Boarding (Rule 74.4), which carries an automatic one-game suspension (Rule 41.2).

In other league discipline news, Colorado Mammoth defenseman Dan Ball and Vancouver Stealth transition player Ilija Gajic were both assessed Game Misconduct penalties for Instigator (Rule 80.2).
