NLL Minor Moves: Wilde, Adams, Belton

Turner

National Lacrosse League training camps are underway and that means as teams rosters take shape, cuts are being made. After the first week of camp several teams made alterations to their rosters.

Most notably, the Colorado Mammoth made several cuts including veteran forward Alex Turner. They also let go of veteran Geoff McNulty, free agent signee Matt Noble, and draft picks Cody Kilcoyne, Brett Hawrys, and Erik Adamson.

The Rochester Knighthawks also let go of several players, releasing Adam Yee, Brendan Anger, Jacob Lazore, Mike Melnychenko, and Tim Bergin, all of whom signed as free agents this offseason. Only Melnychenko had previous experience on an NLL roster.

The New England Black Wolves released defenseman Brent Adams, who spent parts of last season with the team and will likely be moved to their practice roster.

As for signings, the Vancouver Stealth signed Kyle Belton. Belton began his career with the Toronto Rock and was traded to the Philadelphia Wings for goaltender Brandon Miller. He returned to Toronto before joining Vancouver last season, and was a free agent until the Stealth signed him back.

The Buffalo Bandits extended transition man Mitch Wilde to a two-year deal and also signed Jerome Thompson for one year.
