Noteable Players Playing in Summer Box Leagues

We know some National Lacrosse League players and prospects (NALL players or players who have been in NLL training camp)  play in Major League Lacrosse in the summer, along with Major Series Lacrosse and the Western Lacrosse Association premier box lacrosse leagues. However, some other leagues exist where NLL players and top prospects play over the summer and fall months. Here are some of them to watch.

Quebec Senior Lacrosse League

Derek Collins- Kahnawake Mohawks (Durham TurfDogs)

Ian Crawford- Kahnawake Mohawks (Minnesota Swarm- FA)

Crawford, the little brother of Swarm star Callum Crawford, attended Swarm training camp this season and played in a pre season game.

Dan Deckelbaum- Vermont Voyageurs (Baltimore Bombers)

Deceklbaum has played on the Philadelphia Wings and this winter was with the Baltimore Bombers. He is one of the key players on the Vermont roster and most experienced.

Brandon Dube- Vermont Voyageurs (Kentucky Stickhorses)

Dube was one of the top scorers for Kentucky in their 2013 campaign that saw a loss in the championship game.

Ethan Farrell- Vermont Voyageurs (Philadelphia Wings)

Farrell was drafted by the Stickhorses but made the Wings roster out of training camp and played in some games before being sent to the practice roster when some injured players returned.

Ryan Hotaling- Vermont Voyageurs (Colorado Mammoth)

Hotaling was a stud with the Boston Blazers years ago and then played in the PLL with Charlotte and the NALL with the Boston Rockhoppers. He was signed by the Colorado Mammoth midway through last season.

Dave McCarthy- Vermont Voyageurs (Kentucky Stickhorses)

McCarthy is one of the better defenders with Kentucky and he played with the Hamilton Nationals of the MLL in the past.

Greg Rogowski- Vermont Voyageurs (Boston Rockhoppers)

One of the better players in Charlotte and Boston in the past few years. He is also a former NLL player with the Boston Blazers.

Vincent Talbot- Vermont Voyageurs (Boston Rockhoppers)

Talbot had a terrific year with the Rockhoppers leading them to a championship victory in the net. He also tried out for the Wings in the NLL pre season.

CanAm League

AJ Laffin- Rochester Greywolves (Rhode Island Kingfish)

Laffin was one of the bright spots for the Kingfish in a rather dismal season and is one of the leaders of the Greywolves.

Linden Stevens- Newtown Golden Eagles (Reading Rockets)

Stevens was also drafted to the Kentucky Stickhorses but did not report.

Jake Davis- Newtown Golden Eagles (Kentucky Stickhorses)

Davis helped the defense on Kentucky when it had seemed to be falling apart at times. He also has played with the Reading team in the PLL.

Ryan Maciaszek- Newtown Golden Eagles (Kentucky Stickhorses)

Maxiaszek is one of the top players on Newtown  and has signed with the Buffalo Bandits of the NLL in the past. He has been on the Kentucky roster for two seasons.

Josh Kacprzak- Newtown Golden Eagles (Kentucky Stickhorses)

Kacprzak is in the same boat as Matteo as in he made it deep into the Knighthawks training camp. Kacprzak had an extremely under rated season in Kentucky.

Tory Stevens- Tuscarora Tomahawks (Charlotte Copperheads)

Findley Wilson- Tuscarora Tomahawks (Buffalo Bandits- FA)

Wilson has played with the Buffalo Bandits in the past and also was on the Reading Rockets roster.

Scott Johnston- Tuscarora Tomahawks (Toronto Rock)

Brett Bucktooth- Onondaga Redhawks (Washington Stealth)

Bucktooth is playing with the Stealth in the NLL Championship game, but then he will return to the CanAm league as one of their most prolific players.

Continental Indoor Lacrosse League

Cam Holding- Grand Rapids Dragonfish (Colorado Mammoth)

Holding is the first CILL player to ever play in the NLL, now having played in two seasons with the Colorado Mammoth.

Alex Demopolous- Colorado Sabertooths (Colorado Mammoth)

Demopolous was a star at Denver University and played on the Mammoth practice squad in 2013.

Michael Cudmore- Grand Rapids Dragonfish (Edmonton Rush)

Cudmore was a draft pick to the Edmonton Rush making him the second ever CILL player in the NLL.

Audi Glass- Cleveland Demons (Kentucky Stickhorses)

Kevin Tait- Colorado Sabertooths (NLL FA)

Sean Murphy- Southern Ohio (Kentucky Stickhorses- coach)

Murphy is one of the goaltenders on the Southern Ohio team and is the defensive coach for the Stickhorses.

Devin Clifford- Southern Ohio (Kentucky Stickhorses)
