According to the team, the Oakville Rock have made their first trade with Terry Sanderson as their general manager. They picked up forward Brendan Thenhaus and a fourth round 2014 draft pick from the Kithcener-Waterloo Kodiaks in exchange for Craig England.
The Rock, located in Ajax the past few years, will move to Oakville for the 2013 Major Series Lacrosse Season. They named Toronto Rock GM Terry Sanderson their general manager and Rock players Blaine Manning and Phil Sanderson their coaches.
Thenhaus has played in MSL for six seasons and picked up 32 points with the Kodiaks last season. He played for the Oakville Junior B team during his juniors career, making him no stranger to the Oakville lacrosse community. He scored a career high 52 points with the Kodiaks in 2009, when he played in 18 games.
England, who is going to Kitchener, played in seven games for the Rock last season with five goals and eight assists.
