Team U.S.A. Scrimmage Observations.

With the start of the W.I.L.C. just thirteen days away, Team U.S.A. gathered at Bryn Athyn College (20 miles northeast of Philadelphia) for a scrimmage against Team Fusion coached by Tom Slate.  Two of the big names for Team Fusion were Kevin Crowley and Jordan Hall.  Former Philadelphia Wing Eric Hoffman was on the roster as well. There was no “official” score kept on the board, but from my count…

Mann Cup Diaries: Game One

The Trip I’m working on hour 36 of being awake now (although this isn’t necessarily accurate as I did squeak in two one our naps during this time period). I took my first plane ride today. I went from cab to bus to plane to bus to boat to bus, from Oshawa, Ontario, to Victoria, British Columbia. All for lacrosse. All for the Peterborough Lakers, who are back in the…

The Georgia Swarm seem to be losing players left and right to the open market, but the biggest and most notable will have to be wily veteran forward Callum Crawford. With that in mind, In Lacrosse We Trust is identifying this year’s NCAA…

Greg Downing Brings Depth to Mammoth Defense

When the month of April started the Mammoth were one game out of first place in the west.  But losing four of the last six regular season games, and being outscored 72-56, while the Rush won five of six placed the Mammoth at…

NCAA Team Reviews: #15 Georgetown Hoyas

For the better part of four months, many of us watched some exciting college lacrosse, whether it was on TV, online, or in person. There were good games, which included all of Championship Weekend, and there were bad games, such as low scoring affairs and of course, the horrendous winter weather. I take a look back at all 69 Division I teams and how they fared this season and what…

Goldberg: 2015 MLL Breakout Stars

Before the MLL season started, the league lost several of its best players due to retirement. Gone were Ryan Boyle, Stephen Berger, and Lee Zink. Therefore it left a void in the MLL for new stars to rise and make themselves known across the league, not only to the players they played against but also the fans who saw them play. Several young players established themselves as bonafide studs in…

Ryan Flanagan Signs Three Year Deal With Swarm

The Georgia Swarm have lost a lot this off season, but they haven’t gained very much. They’ve already seen Callum Crawford and Greg Downing leave them for the Colorado Mammoth. They have retained a few of their players, resigning Mitch Belisle, Alex Crepinsek, and Jordan Houtby. The only addition thus far for the relocated Gwinnett team is defenseman Ryan Flanagan. Flanagan, who lacks NLL experience, has been a major player…
