As the Clax Season begins here are the top 5 players to watch out for that could win league MVP. Scotty Komer: Komer was the Barrie Blizzards first choice in the Clax expansion draft and with that comes high expectations. Komer though can live up to the hype as he posted the best saves percentage in Clax in 2012 posting a save percentage of .797 while on the league’s worst team. Expect Komer to keep…
Dawson and Powell Reunite in Rochester
The defending NLL Champions Rochester Knighthawks will begin their battle to retain their title on the road Saturday January 5th, as they travel to Washington to take on the Stealth. The game not only marks the Knighthawks return to NLL action since hoisting the Champions Cup last year, it also marks the regular season debut for Rochester’s off-season acquisitions. Most notable of such acquisitions are Dan Dawson and Casey Powell,…
Top MLL Prospects: Attack
As the MLL draft inches nearer, we will begin to take a look at the top prospects in each position, and where they might end up. Today we take a look at the attackers. Peter Baum, Colgate Baum, Manny and Sawyer all could be top three picks. Any one of them, but Baum is projected as the top overall pick to Ohio according to our MLL expert Phil Shore. Baum…
What is the Future of Big East Lacrosse?
There have been questions concerning this conference. Lacrosse has been out shadowed by basketball. Basketball has been this conference’s “bread and butter.” Lacrosse has been a new sport in recent years for these schools. I believe if all of these schools agree on a solution, lacrosse would grow into a sport that many would like. As the sky changes, so does the decisions that these schools will make. Since the departure of Rutgers,…
2013 CLax Players to Watch
This year in Clax there are many players who will look to make a name for themselves but here are my top 5 players to watch as the 2013 season approaches. 5. Steve Fryer: Fryer was the Inferno’s top choice in the NLL supplemental draft and will have a lot of pressure on him this season. This past summer he was stellar with the Langley Thunder and helped them to advance to the Mann Cup….
NLL Season Preview: Washington Stealth
The Washington Stealth were the only team to not make the National Lacrosse League playoffs in 2012. In 2013, their roster has only slight modifications, but they are hoping to get back to the team that brought them to two straight championship games. The most noticeable move of the off season is the departure of Jeff Zywicki who has been a prolific playmaker for Washington. However, last season he missed a lot…
Wings Release Crotty, Activate Hall
On Friday December 21st the Philadelphia Wings activated Jordan Hall from the IR to the 23 man active roster. With that move the Wings released forward Ned Crotty. Is this a true move? Or was it just so Hall can get some game action to see how the knee is doing after knee surgery that had him miss the last half of the 2012 season? In my opinion I think it…
Eastern Conference Notes: Dawson Debuts
This week the NLL season kicks off; however there is only one game featuring only one eastern conference team. The Rochester Knighthawks head out west to start defending their title by facing the Washington Stealth. Rochester’s roster features many story lines that should be interesting to watch. The debuts of Dan Dawson and Casey Powell will be highly talked about. How these two players fit in is still unknown, especially…

Stickhorses Sign Chazz Woodson
Last night the Kentucky Stickhorses signed forward Chazz Woodson to their roster. Woodson had a great MLL season this summer with the Ohio Machine and is one of the biggest names in pro lacrosse. Woodson made his return back to pro lacrosse this summer with the expansion Ohio and was a regular on the ESPN top 10 plays each week. He scored 24 goals and 38 points with the Machine…
