Rhode Island Kingfish Set for 2013 Season

The Rhode Island Kingfish today made several announcements regarding the 2013 North American Lacrosse League season.

They confirm Charlie Blanchard as the head coach and Sean O’Donnell as assistant coach. Blanchard played in the MILL (now the NLL) with the Boston Blazers and O’Donnell is the top lacrosse coach in Rhode Island high schools.

The general manager Michael Lydon was quoted saying in a press release,”Rhode Island is emerging nationally as a lacrosse hotbed, and we are ecstatic to have partnered with a first class venue at Boss Arena to host Rhode Island’s own professional lacrosse franchise,”

Boss Arena is on the campus of the University of Rhode Island, and it will be where the Kingfish play six home games against the Boston Rockhoppers, Kentucky Stickhorses and Baltimore Bombers.
