Rockhoppers Look to Build Off Final Game Win

The Boston Rockhoppers played in just two games in the 2012 NALL season, but they made some noise in their last win against the Kentucky Stickhorses by putting up twenty goals on a Kentucky team that had held teams down all season long. Boston returns looking to continue on that offensive output.

Goaltending

Boston has NLL goaltending with five year veteran Nick Schroeder, who has played with the Philadelphia Wings and New York Titans. Vincent Talbot was also a Rockhopper last season and showed elite ability with the Vermont Voyageurs this summer.

Offense

As mentioned above, Boston can score some goals. They are led by a unit of Mike Stone and Kevin Gould who have played with the Boston Cannons and are proven scorers.

Added to the team from the draft is Ryan Hotaling who has played with the Boston Blazers, and he will no doubt add some spark to that offensive unit as a transition player.

MSL veteran Andrew Kirkaldy and Malcom Chase are also on the roster and will be part of the offensive unit. Chase scored some goals in that final game against Kentucky.

Boston also picked up Cameron and Ramon Lao-Gosney who were the heart and sole of the Lehigh Mountain Hawks in college. They also picked up Jason Duboe who has been on the Blazers and Cannons.

Tommy Palasek of the Syracuse Orange will also be joining the Rockhoppers squad after a great college career. Jon Hayes of the Cannons will be coming back too after suffering a broken foot during MLL season.

Defense/Transition.

Returning on defense for the Rockhoppers are Steve Trocki and Timmy Fallon. Fallon is masterful in the faceoff circle while Trocki playes midfield for the Boston Crabs club team. Ryan Hoffmesiter who was drafted is also on the Crabs.

Peter Vlahskis has played MLL with the Denver Outlaws and Long Island Lizards and will be joining the unit. Greg Paul also returns for 2013.
