Rod Jensen Suspended Six Months By CLA

After all of the stories about the positive tests in the Mann Cup, today we see a suspension announced. The Canadian Lacrosse Association has suspended Langley Thunder head coach Rod Jensen for his part in some incidents in the fall.

According to reports his suspension comes during the final game of the Mann Cup when Jensen made a threat to referee Chris Williams, who reported him to the CLA.

After the first investigation Jensen was given an indeterminate ban from the league, and now he has been given the final verdict which is a six month suspension from CLA play.

Jensen also receives a two year probation. The suspension is retroactive to September 17th 2012, meaning that he will not miss any time in the WLA season with just two months left on it.

Following game four of the Mann Cup, according to the league, Jensen was on very strict probation. Jensen does have the ability to appeal the suspension within the next 15 days according to the league statement.
