Offensive Player of the Week—Ryan Murphy, Springfield College

The Pride’s senior attackman has had one heck of a career against cross-town rival Western New England and he added to that on Saturday with four goals and an assist, including the go-ahead goal with three minutes to play. Murphy is the dodger in Springfield’s three-headed monster attack and his strength around the crease was on display as he posted up defenders to score tough goals and bring SC back from a 7-4 deficit for a 9-7 win. Go to the 2:30 mark of this video to watch him do dirty things to a lacrosse ball.

Defensive Player of the Week—Andrew Fawkes, Lynchburg

Gettysburg is a good team, and Fawkes made the Bulletts look like just another group of guys. Making his first career start, Fawkes gave up three goals and made 12 saves as Lynchburg got a solid non-conference win over the weekend.
