The Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook — or as many laxaholics know it, The Bible — has everything you need to know about lacrosse heading into the new season, including their own Division III Preseason Top 20. As expected, defending champion Stevenson sits atop the preseason poll just ahead of runners-up RIT.

The IL staff compiles the rankings based on “analysis of last year’s results, graduated and returning players, new additions, and offseason events.” Click here to read the article on Inside Lacrosse. Some notes on these rankings

  • The 20 teams represent 11 conferences.
  • The Empire 8 (3), Centennial (3), Old Dominion (3), Capital (2), NESCAC (2), and SUNYAC (2) each have multiple teams.
  • CSCAC, Commonwealth, Commonwealth Coast, North Coast, and Liberty League have one team apiece.
  • The South has a slight advantage here, claiming 11 teams to the North’s nine. Three of the top-five teams reside in the great white North.
