Stony Brook University will be taking on Team Scotland this Saturday, October 19th at 7:00pm as a part of the lacrosse fall ball series. This will be Scotland’s second visit to the United States in the past three years, who will take on several other universities in a series of friendly matches.
Stony Brook is a talented team who finished in the middle of their conference last season, while Scotland is ranked nationally at #11. Both teams are represented by a talented offensive group, but lack the ability to defend consistently. Although this will be a friendly match, I expect both teams to bring out their competitive nature and do their best to end the match on top.
The US National team dominated the last national championship in 2010, with Scotland nowhere near the final round, but with no representation on this team by Stony Brook, this match could go either way.
