Third Star: Alex Wright—Queen’s University
Senior attackman Alex Wright led Queen’s University to a 14-8 victory over Ottawa this past Sunday. The Newmarket, ON native netted a hat trick while dishing out five assists for eight points. Wright currently leads the Gaels in scoring with 34 points in eight games played.

Second Star: Paul Rakoczy—McGill University
It’s tough to find a defender in the CUFLA ILWT Three Stars, but it’s even harder to ignore senior Paul Rakoczy’s standout performance against Bishop’s last week. Rakoczy held the Gaiters’ leading scorer and standout attackman James Malloy to no points in a big 10-7 victory. The 2013 All Canadian defender has 10 caused turnovers, 10 ground balls and no turnovers in 10 games, all while playing a shutdown role for the Redmen.

First Star: Brandon Slade—Brock University
Attackman Brandon Slade had a big weekend to help cushion his already big lead in the CUFLA Scoring race. The Orangeville, ON native netted four goals and nine assists for 13 points in two games this past weekend. Slade now has 24 goals, 31 assists for 55 points in 10 games. Slade also leads the league in assists while his 24 goals is good enough for fourth among all CUFLA goal scorers.
