Yesterday in Prospects: Minto Cup, QSLL

Yesterday we saw the QSLL wrap up their season as they head for the President’s Cup and the Minto Cup kick off. We have what the top prospects in the game did.

Quebec Senior Lacrosse League

Curtis Singleton (20th CUFLA prospect) scored a goal for the Axemen in their 21-11 loss to the Kahnawake Mohawks. Meanwhile, 2015 draft prospect Ty Thompson picked up four points for the Mohawks. The Mohawks and Axemen are both going to the President’s Cup, as the Mohawks are hosting it in Kahnawake.

Minto Cup

Reilly O’Connor helped lead the Whitby Warriors to their 11-5 win over the New Westminster Salmonbellies with three points. Chad Tutton also added three points for Whitby.

Steve Ferdinandi didn’t score for the Bellies but he had two penalty minutes. Eli McLaughlin scored one goal on 11 shots. Quinn Smith didn’t put one in with three shots, and Ross Bowman made 25 saves.

The other game was between the Okotoks Raiders and the Coquitlam Adanacs. Steven Neufield didn’t score on eight shots for the Adanacs and Matt Delmonico added three points. David Diruscio made 26 saves.
