Bandits Re-Sign Steve Priolo

Buffalo Bandits General Manager Steve Dietrich today announced that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defenseman Steve Priolo, pending league approval.

“Steve is a dedicated team player who brings size and youth to our defensive end,” Dietrich said. “We look forward to Steve coming to battle for a roster spot in what has been a very competitive camp thus far.”

Priolo (6’5”, 235 lbs., 1/15/89) recorded five points in 12 games last season, including his first two career goals. He added 34 loose balls and 35 penalty minutes.

“I’m definitely excited to be back with the Bandits,” Priolo said. “I knew I was going to end up here, it was just a matter of when. There’s no other place I’d want to play.”

The St. Catharines, Ontario native was drafted by the Bandits in the second round of the 2009 NLL Entry Draft and has appeared in 35 career games with the team, totaling 18 points (2+16), 97 loose balls and 85 penalty minutes.

“I’m excited for the team this year,” Priolo added. “We’ve got a lot of young guys coming up. I’ve played with a lot of them and with the addition of [forward Shawn Williams] on offense and a couple of other guys, we’re going to be a force to be reckoned with.”
