CILL Playoff Preview: Dragonfish and Outlaws in Heavyweight Battle

The league champion from two years ago, the Grand Rapids Dragonfish, meet up with the Chicago Outlaws in the playoffs in what will be a rematch of the 2011 championship game.

The Dragonfish boast one of the best rosters in the league and have seen success this season at 3-2 while their counterparts the Outlaws went 4-1. The Dragonfish are led by British Columbia native Tyler Harris along with transition player Justin Hawksbee.

Two weeks ago Outlaws left handed forward Adam Hughes scored six goals with three assists to lead them. Dylan Weber also scored nine goals last week along with Ryan Knautz.

Their goaltender Desmond Bailey has also put up some of the best goaltending numbers in the league this season. Their backup, Brian Larsen, also put up 34 saves in a game last week.

“The fellas are ready,” said GM, Ray Kincaid on the Outlaws official website. “This has been a great week for us and our team is ready to finish the season strong.”

The winner of this game will move on to the CILL championship against either the Pittsburgh Octane or the Colorado Sabertooths. The loser will face the loser of Pittsburgh vs Colorado in a consolation game the same day, before the championship.
