Good Players Among NLL Cuts

After the NLL cuts have all been made for the season, the speculation will always be there the next day, especially when there were several surprise cuts.

In the Western Conference, we can look to names like Jeff Zywicki and Ian Poole. Zywicki has been a solid player with the Washington Stealth for years, but the play maker has been marred by some injuries the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, Poole is a defender that many say will be a stronger NLLer in the future, so the Colorado cut could get signed similar to what we saw with Cody Jacobs going to Toronto.

Goaltender Steve Fryer of the Philadelphia Wings was cut as they decided to go with Kevin Croswell and Jake Lazore. Fryer could latch onto a team that needs another goalie or if an injury occurs.

Eric Martin of the Washington Stealth should be able to sign somewhere, as the strong defender was one of the biggest surprise cuts in the entire league.

Eric Lusby was a player that some thought might make the Philadelphia Wings roster, but we might see the young field player sign to a practice squad somewhere if a team wants to work on developing him.

Tyler Glebe is a very young goaltender who might not see a chance at the NLL this season but could make some noise in the league in the future. All in all, some good players are left without teams this 2013 NLL season, but maybe not for long.
