Turf Dogs top Monsters in Niagara Opener

Although their team was defeated by Durham, the fans were treated to some great lacrosse in the Niagara Lock Monsters home opener Sunday night. 537 people took in the inaugural game at the Seymour Hannah Centre in St. Catherine’s Ontario, a good turnout for the city’s first CLax game. Inferno melt Blizzard 17-13

On Saturday the Brampton Inferno took on the Barrie Blizzard. On Friday night Brampton’s game against the Iroquois Ironmen was cancelled due to a real life Blizzard so the Inferno were well rested and ready to beat Barrie. Both CLax Games Cancelled Friday

Both Canadian Lacrosse League games taking place tonight have been cancelled due to inclement weather in the north east. The league released this statement this morning. Due to severe weather the Canadian Lacrosse League has cancelled both scheduled games for Friday February 8.
