MLL Team Reports: Playoff Hunt Begins

Four teams are tied at 3-4, and this week teams try to separate from the pack.

Boston Cannons

John Tucker won his first game as the Cannons coach, and this week they face a Lizards team who needs to get on track. Will Manny has provided a spark and goaltender Jordan Burke seems to be getting more consistent. Paul Rabil was held scoreless last game for the first time since 2010.

New York Lizards

Stephen Berger hasn’t scored in two games, and now they face the Cannons who are 1-0 under their new head coach. This week head coach Joe Spallina said that rookie Rob Pannell is the quarterback of the team.

Charlotte Hounds

Matt White has five points in his first three games as a rookie for the Hounds. Peet Poillon is is 11 goals away from reaching 100 for his career.

Hamilton Nationals

Sid Smith has been called up from the practice squad after they sent down Dana Wilbur. Solomon Bliss was also waived. Their 5-0 start was their best in franchise history so far. Brett Queener is ready to go this week in net.

Rochester Rattlers

The Rattlers will play their second home game out of market as they face Hamilton in Boca Raton, Florida.

Ohio Machine

The Machine hit the ten goal mark for the first time last week, and Logan Schuss has been dominating along with Steele Stanwick to create a team that will be looking to step it up in coming weeks.

Chesapeake Bayhawks

Josh Sims is back from the practice squad and sent Grant Kaleikau there to replace him. They also placed Michael Evans on the Injured Reserve. Turner is allowing less than 10 goals per game, leading the league.  Jeff Reynolds is on the one game Injured Reserve.

Denver Outlaws

Eric Law is nine for nine shooting this season for the Outlaws. Sam Snow, another college player, has finally been activated as the Outlaws send Greg Downing to the practice squad.
