Each week we will look at the top stories of the week’s action, but today we get you ready for the season.
1. Rochester Knighthawks. Can they repeat as Champions in 2013? With the blockbuster deal bringing Dan & Paul Dawson to town, along with the return of Casey Powell it has the Rochester fans thinking repeat.
2. Mark Matthews/Edmonton Rush. Already penciled in as the Rookie of the Year, can Mr. Matthews live up to all the hype placed on him? Can Matthews deliver the Rush to the promised land that they were so close to in 2012.
3. Minnesota Swarm draft picks. Can Brock Sorenson, Kiel Matisz, Shayne Jackson Alex Crepinsek help the Swarm this season, or with this be a “rebuilding” year
4. Calgary & Colorado. Can these teams return to the top of the west? During the regular season they run through the west, but come playoff time, they are invisible.
5. Philadelphia Wings. Can a team comprised of mostly Americans take the league by storm the way the 2008 & 2009 Titans did? Jimmy Butler put those teams together,(2008 lost in semi-final, 2009 lost in final) can he do the same with the Wings and have a team of Americans win the Champions Cup?
