New Westminister @ Nanimo
With the playoffs still a possibility (a very small possibility) the Timbermen (4-9-1) have the chance to play spoiler and make life tough for a ‘Bellies’ squad who played the night before. If anyone can keep the T-mens spirits and chances high it will be Cayle Ratcliff (17G,14A) who exploded last week for 10 points in two games. On the other side of the floor this game could mean alot more to the Bellies’ post season and standings depending on the result of their game the night before in Victoria.
Maple Ride @ Coquitlam
Even though the Burrards (8-5-1) will be without one of their top offensive threats in Curtis Dickson (10G,5A) they have proven all season they can win without him with the likes of Riley Loewen (21G,24A) and Jarrett Davis (11G, 29A) as they make a trip to the Palace on Pourier to play a Coquitlam team coming off a tough game the night before. With a seven point spread in the standings the Adanacs can’t catch the Burrards but they can make life tough for the Burrards to clinch second, even though the games really haven’t been that close when these two teams play.
Burnaby @ Maple Ridge
This game on the other hands has the makings of a barn burner for a fight for second place in the standings. These two teams have split the season series a game a piece and who wins this games takes the series and that all important potential tie breaker if these two teams do in fact end up tied in second place overall. Dane Stevens will be a player to look for in this game as he always plays well against Maple Ridge while Frankie Scigliano (5-3-1) on the other side of the floor will look to continue his consistent play to help the Burrards stay in second place.
