The Philadelphia Wings and Rochester Knighthawks combined for 103 penalty minutes in a 12-4 Wings’ win. Things got a little nuts in the third period with several different scrums. We’re reaching back into the archives today with some never before seen photos, revisiting a game between the Vancouver Warriors and Philadelphia Wings from January 10, 2020. It was the Wings’ home opener and they took the game 18-10. Josh Currier led the Wings with four goals while Blaze Riorden, Kevin Crowley and Brett Hickey all scored three. Photos from the Boston Cannons vs. Denver Outlaws’ semifinal MLL game on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Boston won this game 10-8, and went on to defeat Denver again in the championship game 13-10.
We dug back in our library of unpublished photos from this past spring and found this game from Franklin Field, where the St. Joseph’s Hawks defeated the Drexel Dragons 10-9 during the Philly 4 Lacrosse Classic. Each team finished that tournament 1-1, with St. Joe’s later falling to Penn, and Drexel beating Villanova. That tournament was held just before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the rest of the NCAA season.
