On December 19, 2025, the Oshawa FireWolves held their first teddy bear toss at Tribute Communities Centre. Oshawa started the game hot, leading 4-1 after the first period. The teddy bear toss was supposed to be after the FireWolves’s first goal in the second period, but it was Vancouver scoring the only goal in a quiet frame, postponing the toss to after halftime. The 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships took place in Utica, NY, this September, with 28 teams contesting the men’s division and 10 in the first-ever women’s championship. Our Cliff McCaig was in Utica capturing the action as it happened! Here are photos from the gold medal games!
